Hazard Independent Schools is proud to congratulate Hazard High School Assistant Principal Luke Glaser, who has been named a finalist for the Edward F. Prichard, Jr., Dr. Lee Kirkpatrick; Miss Zerelda Noland Outstanding High School Teacher Award.

The award, presented through the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence, recognizes Kentucky high school teachers whose work in the classroom makes a lasting difference in the lives of their students. Mr. Glaser was recognized for the honor at the Hazard Independent Board of Education meeting on Thursday, October 15, 2026, where board members, colleagues, and family gathered to celebrate.

Mr. Glaser has spent his career teaching at Hazard High School, where he has taught Advanced Placement courses and served students both in and out of the classroom. This year he stepped into the role of Assistant Principal, continuing to serve the students and staff of HHS in a new capacity.

"Mr. Glaser represents the very best of what Hazard Independent Schools stands for," the district said. "His students know he believes in them, and that belief shows in everything he does."

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Glaser on this well-deserved recognition. Go Bulldogs!
